The Lumen Christi College Secondary Schools Tournament
The inaugural Lumen Christi College Secondary Schools Tournament was held in Londonderry in early April of 2005.
Ulster Intermediate and Junior Championships 2004
The Ulster Intermediate and Junior Championships were held on the weekend of 20 and 21 November 2004 at North Belfast Chess Club. The Intermediate was open to players rated between 1500 and 1900 and the Junior for those under 1500 and unrated. A disappointing number of entrants in the Intermediate event meant that the two sections had to be amalgamated.
Fisherwick Sweep Up
Fisherwick make a clean sweep winning both KO Cup and Plate in this season's Team Tournament.

The first UCU tournament of 2005 turned out to be a gentlemanly tie on all fronts, Stephen Morgan and Michael Waters sharing first prize.
Scannell claims Williamson Shield
Steve Scannell claimed his fifth Williamson Shield win while Richard Proctor won the subsidiary Challengers event.
City of Belfast 2005 Report
German player Bernhard Kern, who recently joined the Fisherwick Chess Club, won the Nemtzov Cup with 5.5 points out of 6, just a half-point ahead of Ulster champion Steve Scannell. The Henderson Cup, restricted to players rated under 1600, was won by Richard Proctor, who now has a hat-trick of titles this season.
Ulster Championship 2005
In the annual battle for the title of Ulster Champion, Tom Clarke emerged victorious.
Ulster Schools' Individuals Tournament
In November 2004, the Ulster Schools' Individuals Tournament was held in Royal Belfast Academical Institution. The competition was split into Under 19, Under 16, Under 14, and Under 12 sections.
