Danny:
I have been asked to contribute a Game Analysis from the Williamson Shield. So, I will be contributing some analysis from two of my games, one a nice win, the other a disastrous loss. This gives a nice balance and is a good way of developing the humility that most of us need to develop in the midst of the sometimes brutal ups and downs of the game. To outsiders chess can appear a sedate activity, but to players it can at times feel brutal. These two encounters well illustrate the ups and downs.
In the first game as Black I was opposing Ross Du Berry from Galway, and I was most impressed that he had taken the trouble to undertake such a long journey to compete. The other my last round defeat.
