Venue: Castleview Suite, Maynard Sinclair Sports Pavilion, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland
6 round classic. Time control 90+30

Saturday 24 May:
Check-in 10am to 10:15am
Round 1 at 10:30am to 2:00pm
Round 2 at 3:00pm to 6:30pm
Sunday 25 May:
Round 3 at 10:30am to 2:00pm
Round 4 at 3:00pm to 6:30pm
Monday 26 May:
Round 5 at 10:30am to 2:00pm
Round 6 at 3:00pm to 6:30pm
Prize-giving at 6:30pm
One open section, with the champion awarded the perpetual Nemtzov Cup. The highest placed finish by a player rated U1700 will win the Henderson Cup.

There are for Children the Monthly Chess Tournaments at Methodist College ( these are part of the Grandprix that ends with an Award Ceremony and elite tournament usually held at Stormont.please click on the links for more details. FIDE RATED Groomsport Classic 2025 Number of Rounds: 4 Rd1: 13 February 2025 at 7:15pm, Rd2-R4 15 February 2025
The ICU is running a team competition : The National Club Championships (NCC) 2025 will be held March 7th - 9th at the Sligo Park Hotel in Sligo.
At the end of the month is the Sligo tournament. Jan 31st - Feb 2nd. 5 rounds and time control of 90mins + 30secs. Large prize monies.
