February 2024 FIDE NI Rating Report
Congratulations to 19 players gaining a FIDE rating on the 1st February rating list. We have 6 FIDE rated tournaments scheduled for the month of February, scroll to the bottom of this report for a summary of each event.
In terms of the FIDE rating boost scheduled for 1st March, players wishing to estimate their new ratings can use the following guide:
Calculation change = 0.4 x (2000 minus current rating)
Players nearest to 1000 will gain around 400 points, meanwhile players nearest 2000 will see almost no change. Beware, the new rating threshold will be 1400 from 1st March which means if your rating drops below this, you will disappear off the rating list and you will need to play 5 games again against FIDE rated opponents (with at least 1 positive result and a TPR over 1400) to get back onto the rating list again.
